🧾 Ingredients

  • 250g ground beef (lean)
  • 250g ground pork
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt (or light cream alternative)
  • 1 cup cottage cheese (adds extra protein)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
  • 1 small onion (chopped)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup tomato sauce (no added sugar if possible)
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp oregano or Italian seasoning
  • Salt & black pepper to taste

Optional add-ins:

  • Spinach or zucchini (for nutrients, low carbs)
  • Mushrooms or bell peppers
  • Chili flakes for heat 🌢️

  1. Preheat oven
    • 180Β°C (350Β°F)

  1. Cook the meat
    • In a pan, cook ground beef & pork together
    • Add onion & garlic
    • Cook until browned and fully done
    • Drain excess fat if needed

    • Stir in tomato sauce, paprika, oregano, salt & pepper
    • Simmer for 5–7 minutes

  1. Mix creamy layer
    • In a bowl, combine Greek yogurt + cottage cheese

  1. Assemble casserole
    • Spread meat mixture in a baking dish
    • Add creamy layer on top
    • Sprinkle shredded cheese evenly

  1. Bake
    • 20–25 minutes until bubbly and golden
