Banana Oat Cake (Healthy & Naturally Sweet)
This banana oat cake is soft, naturally sweet, and made without refined flour. It’s great for breakfast, tea time, or a light dessert.
🧾 Ingredients
- 2 ripe bananas (mashed)
- 1½ cups oats (rolled or quick oats)
- 2 eggs
- ½ cup milk (or almond milk)
- 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup (optional)
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ tsp cinnamon (optional)
- Pinch of salt
Optional add-ins
- 2 tbsp chopped walnuts or almonds
- 2 tbsp raisins or dark chocolate chips
👩🍳 Instructions
1️⃣ Preheat oven
Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a small baking pan.
2️⃣ Blend oats
Blend oats in a blender until they become oat flour.
3️⃣ Prepare batter
In a bowl mix:
- mashed bananas
- eggs
- milk
- honey
- vanilla
Then add:
- oat flour
- baking powder
- cinnamon
- salt
Mix until smooth.
4️⃣ Add extras
Fold in nuts, raisins, or chocolate chips if using.
5️⃣ Bake
Pour batter into the pan and bake for 25–30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
6️⃣ Cool & serve
Let it cool for 10 minutes, then slice and enjoy.
