Ingredients (Serves 2–3)
1 lb (450 g) sirloin steak or ribeye, cut into 1-inch cubes
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp unsalted butter
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp smoked paprika (optional, for extra flavor)
1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Lemon wedges (optional, for serving)
Instructions
Prep the steak: Pat steak cubes dry with a paper towel. Season generously with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.
Heat the pan: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add olive oil and butter. Let the butter melt and foam slightly.
Cook the steak bites: Add steak cubes in a single layer (don’t overcrowd the pan—cook in batches if needed). Sear for 2–3 minutes per side, until browned on all sides but still juicy inside.
Add garlic: Lower heat to medium and stir in minced garlic. Cook for 30–60 seconds, just until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
Finish: Remove from heat and sprinkle with chopped parsley. Optional: squeeze a bit of fresh lemon over the top for brightness.
Serve: Pair with roasted vegetables, quinoa, or a simple salad for a protein-packed meal.
