CRISPY CHICKEN STRIPS

Diabetic Crispy Chicken Strips (Low-Carb, Sugar-Free)

Ingredients (serves 2–3)

  • 2 chicken breasts, cut into strips
  • 1 cup almond flour (or crushed pork rinds for extra crunch)
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • Salt & black pepper
  • 1–2 eggs, beaten
  • Optional: 1 tbsp Parmesan (grated) for extra crisp

How to Make

Oven Method

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C / 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment.
  2. Beat eggs in one bowl. Mix almond flour + spices + Parmesan in another.
  3. Dip chicken strips in egg → coat with flour mixture.
  4. Place on sheet and lightly spray with cooking oil.
  5. Bake 20–25 min, flipping halfway, until golden & crispy.

Air-Fryer Method

  1. Preheat air fryer to 190°C / 375°F.
  2. Dip and coat as above.
  3. Cook 10–12 min, shaking basket halfway through.

Dipping Sauce Ideas (Diabetic-Friendly)

  • Mustard or mustard-mayo
  • Greek yogurt + herbs
