, featuring a gooey caramel center layered between cookie dough, pecans, and chocolate chips
Ingredients
- 1 roll (16.5 oz) refrigerated chocolate chip cookie dough (or your favorite homemade cookie dough batch)
- 1 tub (11–12 oz) caramel dip or ice cream topping
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Prepare the Base: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease an 8×8-inch or 9×9-inch baking dish. Press about two-thirds of the cookie dough evenly into the bottom of the dish.
- Add the Fillings: Sprinkle half of the chopped pecans and half of the chocolate chips over the dough base. Pour the caramel dip evenly over the layer.
- Top the Bars: Scatter the remaining pecans and chocolate chips on top. Pinch off small pieces of the remaining cookie dough and drop them randomly across the surface.
- Bake: Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until the top is golden brown and the edges look crisp. Facebook +1
- Cool and Serve: Let the bars cool completely in the pan so the melted caramel sets. Chill in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes before slicing into neat squares.
