Prep Time: 10 minutes
Bake Time: 12–15 minutes
Total Time: 25 minutes
Servings: 8 biscuits
Ingredients
- 2 cups self-rising flour
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 4 tablespoons butter, melted

Instructions
- Preheat oven: Heat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- Mix the dough: Add self-rising flour to a large bowl. Pour in the heavy cream and melted butter. Stir gently just until a soft, slightly sticky dough forms. Do not overmix.
- Drop the biscuits: Using a large spoon or cookie scoop, drop 8 portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each biscuit.
- Bake: Bake for 12–15 minutes, until the biscuits are puffed and golden brown on top.
- Serve: Brush the hot biscuits with a little extra melted butter, if desired. Serve warm.
Tips
- Keep the dough slightly shaggy and avoid overmixing for tender biscuits.
- If the dough seems too dry, add a splash of cream.
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of garlic powder, shredded cheddar, or fresh herbs.
- These are especially good served with butter, honey, jam, or sausage gravy.
