Zwiebelbrot – Traditional German Onion Bread

Ingredients:

  • 500 g flour
  • 1 packet dry yeast
  • 300 ml warm water
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 onions, caramelized
  • 2 tbsp oil
    Instructions:
    ① Mix the yeast, water, flour, and salt.
    ② Knead the dough and fold in the onions.
    ③ Let rise for 1 hour.
    ④ Shape the loaf and let rise for 30 minutes.
    ⑤ Bake at 200°C (390°F) for 40 minutes.
