Weight Watchers Tuna Melts
Ingredients:
- 1 can (5 oz) tuna in water, drained
- 2 tbsp light mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 celery stalk, finely chopped
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 cup shredded reduced-fat cheddar cheese
- 4 slices whole wheat bread (or bread of your choice)
- 1 tomato, sliced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooking spray
Instructions:
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare Tuna Mixture:
- In a bowl, combine the drained tuna, light mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, celery, and onion. Mix well.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Assemble Tuna Melts:
- Lay out the slices of bread on a baking sheet.
- Spread the tuna mixture evenly over each slice of bread.
- Top each with tomato slices and shredded cheddar cheese.
- Bake:
- Lightly spray the tops of the sandwiches with cooking spray to help them brown.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the bread is toasted.
- Serve:
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
