Weight Watchers Tuna Melts

Ingredients:

  • 1 can (5 oz) tuna in water, drained
  • 2 tbsp light mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 celery stalk, finely chopped
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 cup shredded reduced-fat cheddar cheese
  • 4 slices whole wheat bread (or bread of your choice)
  • 1 tomato, sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking spray

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare Tuna Mixture:
    • In a bowl, combine the drained tuna, light mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, celery, and onion. Mix well.
    • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Assemble Tuna Melts:
    • Lay out the slices of bread on a baking sheet.
    • Spread the tuna mixture evenly over each slice of bread.
    • Top each with tomato slices and shredded cheddar cheese.
  4. Bake:
    • Lightly spray the tops of the sandwiches with cooking spray to help them brown.
    • Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the bread is toasted.
  5. Serve:
    • Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
