Virgin pina colada recipe


  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/2 cup coconut milk (preferably full-fat for a creamier texture)
  • 1/2 cup crushed ice
  • 1/4 cup coconut cream (optional for extra creaminess)
  • 1-2 tablespoons sugar or sweetener of choice (adjust to taste)
  • Pineapple slices and maraschino cherries (for garnish)


  1. Blend the Ingredients:
    • In a blender, combine the pineapple juice, coconut milk, crushed ice, coconut cream (if using), and sugar.
    • Blend until smooth and creamy. If the mixture is too thick, you can add a little more pineapple juice to reach your desired consistency.
  2. Taste and Adjust:
    • Taste the mixture and adjust the sweetness if necessary by adding more sugar or sweetener.
  3. Serve:
    • Pour the piƱa colada into chilled glasses.
  4. Garnish:
    • Garnish each glass with a slice of pineapple and a maraschino cherry for a classic touch.
  5. Enjoy:
    • Serve immediately and enjoy your tropical, refreshing drink!


  • For a frothier texture, you can blend for a few extra seconds.
