2 cups fresh or frozen strawberries (hulled and chopped)

🥣 Instructions
Cook the berries: In a small saucepan over medium heat, add the strawberries. Stir occasionally until they start to break down and bubble — about 5–7 minutes.
Mash: Use a fork or potato masher to break down the berries to your desired consistency (chunky or smooth).
Sweeten: Stir in maple syrup and lemon juice. Taste and adjust as needed.
Thicken: Remove from heat and stir in chia seeds. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes to thicken.
Cool and store: Once cooled, transfer to a jar or airtight container. Refrigerate for up to 1 week.
