SMASH BURGER QUESADILLA

Ingredients

  • 6 ounces 95% lean ground beef
  • 1 Mission Carb Balance tortilla
  • 2 slices reduced-fat American cheese
  • salt, pepper, and garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Roll the ground beef into two 3-ounce balls.
  2. Place one ball between two sheets of parchment paper. Use a frying pan to smash the burger. Repeat with the second ball of meat.
  3. Season burgers with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  4. Cook in a frying pan over medium heat for 2-3 minutes per side (depending on how well you like your burger cooked).
  5. While the burgers are cooking, fold the tortilla in half, spray a frying pan with cooking spray, and cook the tortilla until it is golden on each side.
  6. During the last minute of cook time add the cheese to the burgers.
  7. Cut the tortilla in half and add one burger to each half.
