Sausage made of lentil, carrots, oat, and spices
Ingredients
*1cup of lentil (soak them a night before)
- 1 cup of oats ( blend them to make flour)
- 1 cooked carrot.
*1 cooked potatoe.
*2 garlic cloves
*1/4 piece of onion.
*dry or fresh parsley
*salt, pepper, turmeric, paprika for season.
In a food processor or in a blender mix the lentil, carrot, potatoe, onion and the garlic cloves. Season it with salt, pepper, dry or fresh parsley, turmeric and paprika. Use aprox a cup of water.
Pour the mix in a bowl, and Add the cup of oats. Mix it well. Let it rest for about 20 to 30 minutes. - to make the sausages use a clear food wrap. Put about 2 spoons of the mix. And roll it, to make it look like a sausage. Make a knot with the clear wrap in each end of the sausage so it wont get out and keep the shape.
- Once you finish all put them in boilng water for about 5 minutes. Take them out of the water and let them cool.
Unwrape them and they are ready to eat. But what I usually do is, I put them in a pan with a bit of olive oíl, margarine or any vegetable oíl.
Note. You can also fill the sausages with whatever you want.
Important note! : (To avoid putting the sausages in the hot water) You can make all the sausages put them in the fridge for 1 or 2 hours un wrap them and you can bake, fry, steam or grill.
