Romanian plum dumplings
Ingredients
-boil 5 medium potatoes
-mash with 5/6 heaping tablespoons of flour
-if the dough feels too dry,add a few splashes of plant milk,it should be soft
and just slightly tacky
-add a pinch of salt and a teaspoon of sugar to the dough,just to season
-clean and take out the pits of the plums without cutting them all the way
-take a ball of dough and flatten it in the palm of your hand,then place one plum in the middle and fold the dough around it,creating a ball,do the same with the rest
-boil the dumplings until they float to the top then coat them in the coating
For the coating:
-heat up a pan and add a little cube of vegan butter
-add fine breadcrumbs
-toss the breadcrumbs around until toasty and golden
-after they cool,add cinnamon and vanilla sugar (regular sugar is fine too)
