Air Fryer Recipes

Pork belly in your air fryer

  • Pork belly slices or a pork belly slab
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Optional seasonings: garlic powder, paprika, or your favorite spices

  1. Prep the Pork Belly:
    • If you have a slab of pork belly, cut it into smaller, more manageable pieces. You can leave the skin on or remove it, depending on your preference. Scoring the skin with a sharp knife can help it become crispy.
  2. Season the Pork Belly:
    • Season the pork belly pieces with salt, pepper, and any other desired seasonings. You can get creative with your seasoning choices to match your taste preferences.
  3. Preheat the Air Fryer:
    • Preheat your air fryer to 375-400°F (190-200°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
  4. Cook the Pork Belly:
    • Place the seasoned pork belly pieces into the air fryer basket in a single layer. You may need to cook them in batches if your air fryer is not large enough to fit all the pieces at once.
  5. Cook Time:
    • Cook the pork belly in the air fryer for 15-25 minutes, flipping the pieces halfway through the cooking time. The exact cooking time can vary depending on the thickness of the pork belly and your air fryer’s settings. Keep an eye on it, and aim for crispy, golden-brown skin and tender, cooked meat.
  6. Check for Doneness:
    • Check for doneness by making sure the internal temperature of the pork reaches at least 145°F (63°C). The skin should be crispy, and the meat should be cooked through.
  7. Rest and Serve:
    • Allow the pork belly to rest for a few minutes before serving. This helps the juices redistribute within the meat for a more flavorful and moist result.
  8. Optional: Serve with Dipping Sauce:
    • You can serve the air-fried pork belly with a dipping sauce of your choice, such as a soy sauce and vinegar mix, a sweet chili sauce, or hoisin sauce…
