Philly Cheesesteak French Bread Pizza

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 8 ounce boneless rib eye steak
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 green pepper chopped
  • 1 small onion cut into slices
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 loaf French bread
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 16 slices provolone cheese

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees
  • Place the rib eye on a cutting board and cut into thin strips. (You can pop it into the freezer for 1 hour to help with the slices)
  • Heat a large skillet on medium high heat and add 2 tablespoons olive oil. Add the steak, salt and pepper and cook for 3-4 minutes flipping halfway through. Add in the Worcestershire sauce and give it a toss. Remove steak to a plate (it’s okay if it still has pink it will cook a little more in the oven.)
  • Reduce the heat to medium low and add the remaining olive oil and add in the green peppers and onions cook 2-3 minutes just until soft. Add in the garlic and cook another minute.
  • Place the French bread on a cutting board and slice the loaf in half lengthwise.
  • Spread the mayonnaise evenly over the halves. Place 4 slices of cheese on each half. Optional: You can place the french bread slices on a piece of aluminium foil with it scrunches around the pizza to help it stay flat.
  • Place the green peppers and onions evenly over the cheese, followed by the steak (don’t forget the delicious juice).
  • Finally add the rest of the cheese slices on top and bake.
  • Remove from the oven and cut into slices and serve!
