Pepper Steak Stir Fry

Ingredients:


– 🥩 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
– 🫑 1 red bell pepper, sliced
– 🫑 1 green bell pepper, sliced
– 🧅 1 small onion, sliced
– 🧄 3 cloves garlic, minced
– 🧂 1/4 cup soy sauce
– 🌽 1 tbsp cornstarch
– 🍯 2 tbsp brown sugar
– 🍚 1/2 cup beef broth
– 🫒 2 tbsp vegetable oil
– 🌿 1 tsp fresh ginger, minced
– 🌶 Optional: 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes


Directions:

1. Prepare the Sauce:
– 🥣 In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, cornstarch, brown sugar, and beef broth. Set aside.

2. Cook the Steak:
– 🔥 Heat 1 tbsp of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
– 🥩 Add the flank steak and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.

3. Sauté the Vegetables:
– 🫒 Add the remaining 1 tbsp of oil to the skillet.
– 🧄 Sauté garlic and ginger until fragrant, about 1 minute.
– 🫑 Add the bell peppers and onion, cooking until tender, about 4-5 minutes.

4. Combine and Simmer:
– 🍲 Return the steak to the skillet.
– 🥣 Pour the sauce over the steak and vegetables, stirring to coat.
– 🌶 Optional: Add red pepper flakes for extra heat.
– 🍳 Let simmer until the sauce thickens, about 2-3 minutes.

5. Serve:
– 🍚 Serve immediately over rice or noodles. Enjoy your meal!
