Parmesan Baked Pork Chops
Ingredients:
- 4 boneless pork chops (about 1 inch thick)
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 large egg
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
- Prepare the coating: In a shallow dish, combine the Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, paprika, oregano, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Prepare the chops: In another shallow dish, beat the egg. Dip each pork chop into the egg, ensuring it’s fully coated.
- Coat the chops: Transfer the egg-coated pork chop to the breadcrumb mixture, pressing down to ensure the coating sticks on all sides.
- Bake the pork chops: Place the coated pork chops in the prepared baking dish. Drizzle a small amount of olive oil over the top of each chop to help with browning.
- Bake: Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the pork reaches 145°F (63°C) and the crust is golden brown.
- Rest and serve: Allow the pork chops to rest for a few minutes before serving. This helps keep them juicy.
