Parmesan Baked Pork Chops

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless pork chops (about 1 inch thick)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 large egg

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the coating: In a shallow dish, combine the Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, paprika, oregano, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  3. Prepare the chops: In another shallow dish, beat the egg. Dip each pork chop into the egg, ensuring it’s fully coated.
  4. Coat the chops: Transfer the egg-coated pork chop to the breadcrumb mixture, pressing down to ensure the coating sticks on all sides.
  5. Bake the pork chops: Place the coated pork chops in the prepared baking dish. Drizzle a small amount of olive oil over the top of each chop to help with browning.
  6. Bake: Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the pork reaches 145°F (63°C) and the crust is golden brown.
  7. Rest and serve: Allow the pork chops to rest for a few minutes before serving. This helps keep them juicy.

Serving Suggestions:

These pork chops pair well with mashed potatoes, steamed vegetables, or a fresh green salad.
