  • Wonton or dumpling wrappers (look for lower-point options if available)

For Cooking:

  • Cooking spray
  • Water for steaming

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Filling:
    • In a bowl, combine the finely shredded cabbage, ground chicken or turkey, chopped green onions, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  2. Assemble the Potstickers:
    • Place a small amount of the filling in the center of each wonton wrapper.
    • Moisten the edges of the wrapper with a bit of water and fold in half, pressing to seal. You can use a fork to create a decorative edge.
  3. Cooking Options:
    • Pan-Frying Method (with minimal oil):
      • Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly coat it with cooking spray.
      • Place the potstickers in the skillet, flat side down, and cook until the bottoms are golden brown.
      • Add a small amount of water to the skillet and cover to steam the potstickers until the filling is cooked through.
    • Steaming Method (with no added oil):
      • Place the potstickers in a steamer basket lined with parchment paper or cabbage leaves.
      • Steam the potstickers for about 10-12 minutes or until the filling is cooked through.
  4. Serve:
    • Once cooked, serve the potstickers with a dipping sauce made from low-sodium soy sauce, a splash of rice vinegar, and a dash of sesame oil.
