Mayo Parmesan Chicken
Ingredients:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (optional for extra crunch)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Preheat the Oven:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Lightly grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
- Prepare the Chicken:
- Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels.
- Season both sides of the chicken with salt and pepper.
- Mix the Mayo and Parmesan:
- In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, and Italian seasoning. Mix well until smooth.
- Coat the Chicken:
- Spread the mayo-Parmesan mixture evenly over the top of each chicken breast.
- Add Breadcrumbs (Optional):
- If you prefer a crispy topping, sprinkle breadcrumbs over the mayo-Parmesan coating.
- Bake the Chicken:
- Place the coated chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the topping is golden and bubbly. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).
- Garnish and Serve:
- Remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
