Keto Steak & Cheese Skillet

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450g) steak (ribeye, sirloin, or flank), thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced (optional, for flavor & crunch)
  • 1 small onion, sliced (optional, use sparingly for keto)
  • 1 tsp garlic, minced
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning or steak seasoning
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella or provolone cheese
  • ½ cup cream (optional, for a creamy touch)

Instructions:

  1. Heat the Skillet:
    In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil or butter.
  2. Cook the Veggies:
    Add bell peppers and onions (if using). Sauté for 3–4 minutes until soft. Remove and set aside.
  3. Cook the Steak:
    Add steak strips to the skillet. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook until browned and just cooked through (about 4–5 minutes).
  4. Add Garlic:
    Toss in the minced garlic and sauté for another 30 seconds.
  5. Mix & Melt:
    Add the sautéed veggies back in (optional). Lower the heat, pour in the cream (if using), and sprinkle shredded cheese over the top. Cover with a lid and let the cheese melt for 1–2 minutes.
  6. Serve Hot!
    Garnish with fresh parsley or chili flakes if you like. Perfect with a side of keto cauliflower mash or just on its own.
