Ingredients:

For the Shrimp:

  • 1 pound large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 lemon (cut into wedges, for garnish)

For the Cocktail Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup sugar-free ketchup (check labels for keto-friendly options or make your own)
  • 1 tablespoon horseradish (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce (make sure it’s low-carb or use a keto-friendly alternative)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Shrimp:
    • Preheat your grill or a skillet over medium-high heat.
    • In a bowl, toss the shrimp with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until well-coated.
    • If grilling, thread the shrimp onto skewers. Grill for about 2-3 minutes per side, or until the shrimp are pink and opaque. If using a skillet, cook the shrimp for about 2-3 minutes per side, or until done. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  2. Prepare the Cocktail Sauce:
    • In a small bowl, combine the sugar-free ketchup, horseradish, lemon juice, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix well. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if needed.
  3. Serve:
    • Arrange the shrimp on a serving platter. Serve with the cocktail sauce and lemon wedges on the side.
