Optional toppings: sesame seeds, poppy seeds, or additional shredded cheese
Instructions:
Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Prepare the Dough:
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the shredded mozzarella and softened cream cheese. Microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring in between, until the cheeses are melted and well combined.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the almond flour, parmesan cheese, baking powder, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
Add the melted cheese mixture to the dry ingredients. Mix well until a dough forms.
Add the egg to the dough and knead until fully combined. The dough will be sticky but should hold together.
Shape the Biscuits:
Divide the dough into 10-12 equal portions. Roll each portion into a ball and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Flatten each ball slightly to form a biscuit shape.
Bake:
Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown and firm to the touch.
Add Toppings (Optional):
If you want to add a little extra flavor, brush the tops of the biscuits with melted butter and sprinkle on sesame seeds, poppy seeds, or additional cheese.
Serve: Allow the biscuits to cool slightly before serving. They’re delicious on their own or served with your favorite low-carb dip.
