Keto Air-fryer Tandoori Chicken

Ingredients:

  • Chicken (drumsticks/thighs/breast) – 500g
  • Greek yogurt (full fat, unsweetened) – 3 tbsp
  • Lemon juice – 1 tbsp
  • Ginger garlic paste – 1 tbsp
  • Kashmiri red chili powder – 1 tsp (for color, low heat)
  • Garam masala – 1 tsp
  • Turmeric – ½ tsp
  • Cumin powder – ½ tsp
  • Coriander powder – ½ tsp
  • Salt – to taste
  • Olive oil or ghee – 1 tbsp
  • Optional: a pinch of smoked paprika or liquid smoke for BBQ flavor

Instructions:

  1. Marinate Chicken
    Mix yogurt, lemon juice, ginger garlic paste, and all spices. Coat the chicken well. Let it marinate for at least 1 hour (overnight is best!).
  2. Preheat Air Fryer
    Set it to 180°C (350°F) for 3–5 minutes.
  3. Cook Chicken
    Place chicken pieces in the air fryer basket (don’t overcrowd). Spray or brush a little oil on top.
    Air-fry at 180°C (350°F) for 18–22 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  4. Check for Doneness
    Chicken should be juicy inside and slightly charred outside. Internal temp should be 75°C (165°F).
  5. Serve
    Sprinkle lemon juice, serve with mint chutney (keto version), or enjoy with a side of keto salad!
