Italian Crescent Casserole

Ingredients:-

  • 1 pound lean ground turkey or chicken
  • 1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 can reduced-fat crescent rolls
  • 1 cup part-skim mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions:-

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground turkey or chicken until it’s no longer pink. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Add the tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the cooked meat. Simmer for about 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to combine.
  4. Unroll the crescent rolls and press them into the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish to form a bottom crust.
  5. Spread the meat mixture evenly over the crescent roll crust.
  6. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese on top of the meat mixture, followed by the grated Parmesan cheese.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the crescent crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving…..
