Homemade Pizza Dough

Ingredients:

  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour (or bread flour)
  • 1 packet (2 ¼ tsp) instant yeast
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • ¾ tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ¾ cup warm water (110°F or 45°C)

Instructions:

1️⃣ Activate the Yeast: In a bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
2️⃣ Mix the Dough: In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Add yeast mixture and olive oil. Mix until a rough dough forms.
3️⃣ Knead: Transfer to a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
4️⃣ Rise: Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
5️⃣ Shape & Bake: Punch down the dough, roll it out, and shape it for your pizza. Add toppings and bake at 475°F (245°C) for 12-15 minutes.
