Homemade Pizza Dough

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups almond flour
  • 1/4 cup ground flaxseed (optional for added texture)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • 1 tsp dried oregano (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • Salt, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the mozzarella cheese and cream cheese together. Heat for about 30 seconds, stir, then heat again if needed until smooth.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the almond flour, ground flaxseed, garlic powder, oregano, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Add the melted cheese mixture and egg to the dry ingredients. Stir well until everything comes together into a dough.
  5. Place the dough onto the prepared baking sheet and use your hands or a rolling pin to shape it into a pizza crust, about 1/4-inch thick.
  6. Bake the crust in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until it is golden and firm.
  7. Add your favorite keto-friendly toppings (such as sugar-free marinara sauce, cheese, meats, and veggies) and return the pizza to the oven. Bake for an additional 5-7 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and melted.
  8. Slice and enjoy your keto pizza!
