Homemade black bean burgers


Ingredients:
1 can black beans (drained and rinsed)
1/2 cup bread crumbs
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup chopped red bell pepper
1 large garlic clove, minced
1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions:
In a large bowl, mash the black beans with a fork or potato masher until they are mostly mashed, but still a little chunky.
Add the bread crumbs, onion, bell pepper, garlic, cumin, paprika, and salt to the bowl with the black beans, and mix well.
Form the mixture into 4 patties.
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add the patties to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and crispy.
Serve on a bun with your favorite toppings, such as avocado, tomato, lettuce, and salsa.
