- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt (unsweetened, full-fat or 2%)
- 1/2 cup cottage cheese (small curd)
- 1/4 cup protein powder (vanilla or unflavored whey or plant-based)
- 2–3 tbsp lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
- 1 tsp lemon zest (optional, for extra flavor)
- 1–2 tbsp honey or sweetener of choice (adjust to taste)
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- Optional garnish: lemon slices, mint, or a few berries
Instructions
- Blend base ingredients
- In a blender or food processor, combine Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, protein powder, lemon juice, lemon zest, honey, vanilla, and a pinch of salt.
- Blend until smooth and creamy. Taste and adjust sweetness or lemon juice as needed.
- Chill the mousse
- Transfer the mousse to serving cups or bowls.
- Refrigerate for at least 1–2 hours to firm up and let flavors meld.
- Optional step for extra fluffiness
- Whip 1/4 cup heavy cream or aquafaba (for vegan) until soft peaks form.
- Fold gently into the mousse to make it lighter and airy.
- Serve
- Garnish with lemon zest, thin lemon slices, or fresh berries.
- Serve chilled.
