Easy Air Fryer Baby Back Ribs

Ingredients:

  • 1 rack of baby back ribs
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce (optional, for serving)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Ribs:
    • Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs if it’s still attached. This helps the ribs become more tender.
    • Pat the ribs dry with paper towels.
  2. Season the Ribs:
    • Rub the ribs with olive oil to help the seasonings stick.
    • Season generously with salt and pepper, or use your favorite dry rub seasoning.
  3. Preheat the Air Fryer:
    • Preheat your air fryer to 300°F (150°C). This step ensures the ribs cook evenly.
  4. Cook the Ribs:
    • Place the ribs in the air fryer basket, curved side down.
    • Cook for about 25-30 minutes at 300°F (150°C). Halfway through cooking, flip the ribs using tongs to ensure even cooking.
  5. Optional: Apply Barbecue Sauce:
    • If you like saucy ribs, you can brush on barbecue sauce during the last 5 minutes of cooking. This allows the sauce to caramelize slightly.
  6. Check for Doneness:
    • Ribs should be tender and the internal temperature should reach at least 145°F (63°C) for safe consumption.
  7. Serve:
    • Once done, remove the ribs from the air fryer and let them rest for a few minutes before slicing.
    • Serve with additional barbecue sauce on the side if desired.
