Crock Pot High-Protein Chicken Drumsticks

Ingredients

  • Chicken drumsticks – 1.5–2 kg (3–4 lb)
  • Olive oil – 1 tablespoon
  • Seasonings (choose what you like):
    Salt, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder
  • Optional (adds protein & flavor):
    ½ cup plain Greek yogurt or ½ cup low-sodium chicken broth

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken
    Pat drumsticks dry. Rub with olive oil and season generously.
  2. Layer in crock pot
    Place drumsticks in the slow cooker (stacking is fine).
  3. Add moisture
    Add Greek yogurt (for creamy protein boost) or chicken broth.
  4. Cook
    • Low: 6–7 hours
    • High: 3–4 hours
      Until meat is tender and reaches safe internal temp.
  5. Optional crispy finish
    Transfer to a baking tray and broil for 5–8 minutes to crisp skin.
