Cottage Cheese Pizza Bowl (High Protein)

Ingredients (1 large serving)

  • 1 cup low-fat cottage cheese (2% or fat-free)
  • ¼ cup marinara or pizza sauce (no-sugar-added if possible)
  • ¼ cup part-skim mozzarella, shredded
  • 10–15 turkey pepperoni slices (or chicken sausage)
  • ¼ tsp Italian seasoning
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • Pinch red pepper flakes (optional)

Optional Veggie Add-Ins

  • Diced bell peppers
  • Mushrooms
  • Onions
  • Spinach
  • Black olives

Instructions (Microwave Method)

  1. In a microwave-safe bowl, stir together:
    • Cottage cheese
    • Marinara
    • Italian seasoning & garlic powder
  2. Add pepperoni and veggies (if using).
  3. Sprinkle mozzarella on top.
  4. Microwave 60–90 seconds, until hot and melty.
  5. Let sit 1 minute (it thickens as it cools).
  6. Finish with red pepper flakes or extra seasoning.

Oven Method (Extra Cheesy)

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Mix everything except mozzarella in an oven-safe dish.
  3. Top with mozzarella.
  4. Bake 12–15 minutes, until bubbly and lightly golden.

Optional Texture Upgrade (Creamier)

Blend the cottage cheese first until smooth for a ricotta-style pizza bowl.
