Christmas bombs
Ingredients:
- 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough or biscuit dough
- 1/4 cup cream cheese (softened)
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup cranberry sauce or cherry pie filling
- 1/4 cup white chocolate chips (optional)
- Sprinkles or crushed candy canes (for garnish)
- Melted butter (for brushing)
Savory Christmas Bombs
Ingredients:
- 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough or biscuit dough
- 1/4 cup cream cheese (softened)
- 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup cooked crumbled bacon or chopped ham
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Melted butter (for brushing)
- Grated Parmesan (for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the Dough:
- Roll out the dough and cut it into squares or circles, depending on the size of your bombs.
- Mix the Filling:
- For sweet bombs, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla in a bowl.
- For savory bombs, mix cream cheese, shredded cheese, bacon or ham, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
- Assemble the Bombs:
- Place a small dollop of filling in the center of each dough square.
- Add a spoonful of cranberry sauce or chocolate chips for sweet bombs.
- Bring the edges of the dough up and pinch to seal, forming a ball.
- Air Fry or Bake:
- Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C). Place the bombs seam-side down in the basket.
- Air fry for 6–8 minutes until golden brown.
- For the oven, bake at 375°F (190°C) for 12–15 minutes.
- Finish and Serve:
- Brush with melted butter after cooking.
- For sweet bombs, sprinkle with powdered sugar, crushed candy canes, or drizzle with icing.
- For savory bombs, sprinkle with Parmesan and serve with marinara or ranch dressing.
