Christmas bombs

Ingredients:

  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough or biscuit dough
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup cranberry sauce or cherry pie filling
  • 1/4 cup white chocolate chips (optional)
  • Sprinkles or crushed candy canes (for garnish)
  • Melted butter (for brushing)

Savory Christmas Bombs

Ingredients:

  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough or biscuit dough
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup cooked crumbled bacon or chopped ham
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Melted butter (for brushing)
  • Grated Parmesan (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough:
    • Roll out the dough and cut it into squares or circles, depending on the size of your bombs.
  2. Mix the Filling:
    • For sweet bombs, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla in a bowl.
    • For savory bombs, mix cream cheese, shredded cheese, bacon or ham, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
  3. Assemble the Bombs:
    • Place a small dollop of filling in the center of each dough square.
    • Add a spoonful of cranberry sauce or chocolate chips for sweet bombs.
    • Bring the edges of the dough up and pinch to seal, forming a ball.
  4. Air Fry or Bake:
    • Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C). Place the bombs seam-side down in the basket.
    • Air fry for 6–8 minutes until golden brown.
    • For the oven, bake at 375°F (190°C) for 12–15 minutes.
  5. Finish and Serve:
    • Brush with melted butter after cooking.
    • For sweet bombs, sprinkle with powdered sugar, crushed candy canes, or drizzle with icing.
    • For savory bombs, sprinkle with Parmesan and serve with marinara or ranch dressing.
