chicken in the Air fryer

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Optional: additional seasonings to taste (such as onion powder, thyme, rosemary, or cayenne pepper)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil (or melted butter), salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and any other desired seasonings.
  3. Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels and brush both sides of each chicken breast with the seasoned oil mixture.
  4. Place the chicken breasts in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure they are not touching or overlapping.
  5. Cook the chicken in the air fryer at 375°F (190°C) for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through the cooking time. The exact cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of your chicken breasts and the specific model of your air fryer.
  6. Check for doneness by inserting a meat thermometer into the thickest part of the chicken breasts. They should reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  7. Once the chicken is cooked through and golden brown on the outside, remove it from the air fryer and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
  8. Serve the air fryer chicken with your favorite side dishes and enjoy!
