chicken in the Air fryer
Ingredients:
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Optional: additional seasonings to taste (such as onion powder, thyme, rosemary, or cayenne pepper)
Instructions:
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
- In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil (or melted butter), salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and any other desired seasonings.
- Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels and brush both sides of each chicken breast with the seasoned oil mixture.
- Place the chicken breasts in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure they are not touching or overlapping.
- Cook the chicken in the air fryer at 375°F (190°C) for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through the cooking time. The exact cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of your chicken breasts and the specific model of your air fryer.
- Check for doneness by inserting a meat thermometer into the thickest part of the chicken breasts. They should reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- Once the chicken is cooked through and golden brown on the outside, remove it from the air fryer and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
