Bread Pudding with Vanilla Sauce

Ingredients:
For the Bread Pudding:
- 4 cups bread cubes (stale bread works best)
- 2 cups milk
- 2 eggs
- ½ cup sugar
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- ½ cup raisins (optional)
For the Vanilla Sauce:
- 1 cup heavy cream or milk
- ¼ cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water

- Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, sugar, cinnamon, vanilla extract, salt, and melted butter.
- Add bread cubes and mix until well-coated. Let it sit for 5 minutes to absorb the liquid.
- If using, mix in the raisins.
- Transfer to a greased baking dish that fits inside your air fryer.
- Air fry for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and set in the center.
Making the Vanilla Sauce:
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine heavy cream (or milk), sugar, and butter. Stir until heated.
- Add the cornstarch mixture and cook until it thickens.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
Serving:
- Drizzle the warm vanilla sauce over the bread pudding.
- Enjoy with a scoop of ice cream or whipped cream!
