Bacon Wrapped Tots with Homemade Ranch

Ingredients

Bacon Wrapped Tots

  • 20–24 frozen tater tots
  • 10–12 slices bacon (cut in half)
  • Optional: 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp smoked paprika, black pepper
  • Optional: shredded cheddar or pepper jack (for a cheesy twist)

Homemade Ranch

  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ¼ cup buttermilk (or milk + 1 tsp lemon juice)
  • 1 tsp dried dill
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp dried parsley
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • Optional: ½ tsp lemon juice or vinegar for tang

Instructions

Step 1: Prep the Tots

  1. Partially cook the tots (optional but helps crispiness):
    • Air fry at 400°F for 5 minutes.
  2. Let them cool slightly so the bacon sticks better.

Step 2: Wrap the Tots

  1. Wrap each tot with a half slice of bacon.
  2. Secure with a toothpick if needed.
  3. Sprinkle with garlic powder, paprika, and pepper (optional).

Step 3: Air Fry

  1. Place wrapped tots in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  2. Cook at 400°F for 10–12 minutes.
    • Flip halfway through.
    • Cook longer if you want extra crispy bacon.

Tip: If the bacon isn’t crisping, spray lightly with oil and add 2–3 more minutes.
