Air Fryer Onion Rings
INGREDIENTS
2 Large Sweet Onion, cut into thick circles (about ¼ inch thick)
1 cup of all-purpose Flour
1 Egg
⅓ cup of Milk
1 cup of Italian style Breadcrumbs or Panko Breadcrumbs
Salt and pepper to taste
Cooking spray or mist
INSTRUCTIONS
Separate the sliced onions into rings.
Pour the all-purpose flour into a shallow bowl. Dip all the onion slices into flour mixture until they are all coated. Set aside on a wire rack.
Add a beaten egg, milk, salt and pepper in to the all-purpose flour and whisk it well to form a thick batter. Also, pour out the breadcrumbs into a plate or a shallow bowl.
Dip the floured onion slices into the egg-flour batter, making sure it is well coated.
Dredge it in the bread crumbs to coat it completely. Keep it aside on a wire rack. Repeat with all the slices.
Place a few crumb coated onion rings in the lightly greased air fryer basket. Lightly spray them with cooking spray or mist.
Air fry at 400 F for 6 to 7 minutes. Repeat with all the prepared onion rings.
Serve hot with ketchup or salsa.
