AIR FRYER MUSHROOMS AND ONIONS

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450g) mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Air Fryer:
    • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
  2. Prepare the Vegetables:
    • Slice the mushrooms and onions.
    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the sliced mushrooms and onions.
  3. Season the Vegetables:
    • Add olive oil, minced garlic, dried thyme, dried rosemary, salt, and pepper to the bowl.
    • If you like, you can also add a tablespoon of balsamic vinegar for extra flavor.
    • Toss everything together until the mushrooms and onions are well-coated with the seasoning.
  4. Air Fry the Vegetables:
    • Spread the seasoned mushrooms and onions in a single layer in the air fryer basket. You might need to do this in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
    • Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 10-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking. The mushrooms and onions should be tender and slightly caramelized.
  5. Serve:
    • Once done, remove the mushrooms and onions from the air fryer and serve immediately. They make a great side dish or topping for steaks, burgers, or even salads.
