Air Fryer Fried Pickles
Ingredients:
- Dill pickle slices (you can use whole pickles and slice them into rounds)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Cooking spray (preferably oil in a spray bottle)
Instructions:
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for a few minutes to ensure it’s hot when you start cooking.
- In three separate bowls, set up a breading station. In one bowl, place the flour. In another, beat the eggs. In the third bowl, combine the panko breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Take a pickle slice, dip it into the flour, ensuring it’s coated evenly. Shake off any excess flour.
- Dip the pickle into the beaten eggs, allowing any excess to drip off.
- Finally, coat the pickle in the panko breadcrumb mixture, pressing the breadcrumbs gently to adhere. Make sure the pickle is well coated.
- Place the breaded pickle slices on a plate or tray while you coat the remaining pickles.
- Once all the pickles are breaded, lightly spray them with cooking spray. This will help them become crispy in the air fryer.
- Carefully arrange the breaded pickles in a single layer in the air fryer basket. You may need to do this in batches, depending on the size of your air fryer.
- Cook the pickles in the preheated air fryer at 400°F (200°C) for about 6-8 minutes, flipping them halfway through the cooking time. Keep a close eye on them to prevent overcooking; they should be golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the air-fried pickles and let them cool for a few minutes before serving. You can serve them with your favorite dipping sauce, such as ranch dressing or a spicy mayo dip….
