Air Fryer Fried Pickles

Ingredients:

  1. Dill pickle slices (you can use whole pickles and slice them into rounds)
  2. 1 cup all-purpose flour
  3. 2 large eggs
  4. 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  5. 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  6. 1 teaspoon paprika
  7. 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  8. 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  9. Cooking spray (preferably oil in a spray bottle)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for a few minutes to ensure it’s hot when you start cooking.
  2. In three separate bowls, set up a breading station. In one bowl, place the flour. In another, beat the eggs. In the third bowl, combine the panko breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  3. Take a pickle slice, dip it into the flour, ensuring it’s coated evenly. Shake off any excess flour.
  4. Dip the pickle into the beaten eggs, allowing any excess to drip off.
  5. Finally, coat the pickle in the panko breadcrumb mixture, pressing the breadcrumbs gently to adhere. Make sure the pickle is well coated.
  6. Place the breaded pickle slices on a plate or tray while you coat the remaining pickles.
  7. Once all the pickles are breaded, lightly spray them with cooking spray. This will help them become crispy in the air fryer.
  8. Carefully arrange the breaded pickles in a single layer in the air fryer basket. You may need to do this in batches, depending on the size of your air fryer.
  9. Cook the pickles in the preheated air fryer at 400°F (200°C) for about 6-8 minutes, flipping them halfway through the cooking time. Keep a close eye on them to prevent overcooking; they should be golden brown and crispy.
  10. Remove the air-fried pickles and let them cool for a few minutes before serving. You can serve them with your favorite dipping sauce, such as ranch dressing or a spicy mayo dip….
