AIR FRYER DONUTS RECIPE

Ingredients:

  • For the donuts:
    • 1 can of refrigerated biscuit dough (8 biscuits)
    • Cooking spray or melted butter
  • For the cinnamon sugar coating:
    • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
    • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • For the glaze (optional):
    • 1 cup powdered sugar
    • 2-3 tablespoons milk
    • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the air fryer:
    • Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for about 5 minutes.
  2. Prepare the biscuit dough:
    • Open the can of biscuit dough and separate the biscuits.
    • Use a small round cookie cutter or the cap of a bottle to cut out the centers of each biscuit to create donut shapes. Save the centers to make donut holes.
  3. Air fry the donuts:
    • Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray or brush it with melted butter to prevent sticking.
    • Place a few donuts and donut holes in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not touching. You may need to work in batches.
    • Air fry the donuts at 350°F (175°C) for 5-6 minutes, flipping them halfway through the cooking time, until they are golden brown and cooked through.
  4. Coat with cinnamon sugar:
    • In a shallow bowl, mix the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon.
    • While the donuts are still warm, lightly brush them with melted butter or spray with cooking spray, then roll them in the cinnamon sugar mixture until well coated.
  5. Optional glaze:
    • In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
