Instructions:

  1. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3–5 minutes.
  2. Mix & shape the patties:
In a bowl, combine ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Divide and shape into 4 equal patties, about 1/2 inch thick. Make a small indent in the center of each to prevent puffing.
  3. Cook the burgers:
Place patties in the air fryer basket (don’t overcrowd). Cook at 375°F (190°C) for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway. Internal temperature should reach 160°F (71°C) for well-done.
  4. Add cheese (optional):
If using cheese, place a slice on each patty during the last 1–2 minutes. Close the basket to melt.
  5. Toast buns (optional):
You can toast the buns in the air fryer for 1–2 minutes after removing the burgers.
  6. Assemble:
Place each patty on a bun, add your favorite toppings and sauces, and serve hot!
