Air Fryer Boneless Chicken Bites
Ingredients:
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (you can use regular or panko breadcrumbs)
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Cooking spray or olive oil spray
Instructions:
- Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
- Prepare the Coating Station: In three separate bowls, place the flour in one, beaten eggs in another, and mix breadcrumbs with Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in the third.
- Coat the Chicken: Take each piece of chicken and dredge it first in the flour, then dip it into the beaten eggs, and finally coat it evenly with the breadcrumb mixture. Make sure each piece is well-coated.
- Spray with Oil: Lightly spray the coated chicken pieces with cooking spray or olive oil spray. This will help them get crispy in the air fryer.
- Air Fry: Place the coated chicken bites in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not touching each other or overcrowded. Depending on the size of your air fryer, you may need to cook them in batches.
- Cook: Cook the chicken bites in the preheated air fryer at 400°F (200°C) for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through the cooking time, until they are golden brown and cooked through. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).
- Serve: Once cooked, remove the chicken bites from the air fryer and serve them hot with your favorite dipping sauce, such as barbecue sauce, honey mustard, or ranch dressing.
