First Teen Mom baby Bentley turns 18 leaving aging show fans ‘horrified’
TEEN Mom fans are feeling older than ever as the first child from the franchise turns 18.
Bentley, the son of Teen Mom OG‘s Maci Bookout and Ryan Edwards, has officially reached adulthood.
The blonde-haired teen celebrated his milestone birthday on Tuesday.
Maci, 35, shared a sweet tribute to her eldest son on Instagram, including a video montage of Bentley throughout his childhood.
Some were photos of the youngster smiling with his mother, while others were solo shots of him as a baby.
The montage also featured snapshots of Bentley playing sports and enjoying time with his blended family.
Maci is also a mom to a daughter, Jayde, 11, and a son, Maverick, 10, with her husband, Taylor McKinney, with whom she celebrated 10 years of marriage earlier this month.
“And just like that my baby Bentley is 18 years old! Being your mom is the greatest gift of my life, and I’m so proud of you Benny! We’re not done yet, but we sure did that kid, I love you!” Maci gushed in her caption.
Fans were stunned that Bentley, who they have watched grow up since Maci documented her pregnancy on MTV‘s 16 and Pregnant, was already 18.
“Bentley is 18!!!!?!?!! Holy f**k I’m getting old,” one person reacted in the comments.
“18?! F**k I’m old haha that’s all our baby! We’ve been there from the beginning! Happy Birthday Sweet Bentley!!” wrote another.
“18?? How? I remember watching him being born,” a third echoed.
“Crazy to watch the world has watched him for 18 years now! Such a sweet boy! bittersweet! He started this all,” a fourth said.
“How is this even possible?!?!?” a fifth wondered, while others said they were “horrified” at how fast the years went by.
Fans first met Maci in the premiere episode of 16 & Pregnant, which aired in June 2009.
Fans have followed her motherhood journey through multiple spin-offs over the years, as well as her tumultuous co-parenting relationship with his father, Ryan, 38.
Ryan also struggled to maintain a strong bond with his son, Bentley, amid the reality star’s multiple rehab stints and legal troubles.
However, Maci and Bentley have been a support system for Ryan in his sobriety journey in recent years.
They’ve also stood by his side during his nasty divorce from his ex-wife, Mackenzie Standifer, with whom Ryan shares two kids: Jagger, 8, and Stella, 6.
Ryan moved on with Amanda Conner, whom he married just weeks after finalizing his divorce from Mackenzie in August 2025.
The couple’s marriage appears to have hit a rough patch, as Amanda – the mother of Ryan’s 1-year-old daughter, Presley – accused the MTV alum earlier this month of cheating on her the entire time they’ve been together.
