Greek Beef Wraps with Roasted Garlic Feta Sauce

Ingredients (Serves 4)

For the Beef

1 lb (450 g) ground beef or thinly sliced beef steak

1 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp dried oregano

1 tsp paprika

½ tsp cumin

½ tsp garlic powder

Salt and black pepper to taste

Juice of ½ lemon

For the Roasted Garlic Feta Sauce

1 whole garlic bulb

1 tsp olive oil

1 cup crumbled feta cheese

½ cup Greek yogurt

2 tbsp mayonnaise

1 tbsp lemon juice

1 tbsp chopped fresh dill or parsley

Black pepper to taste

2–3 tbsp water or milk (to thin if needed)

For the Wraps

4 large pita breads or tortillas

1 cup shredded lettuce

1 cucumber, diced

1 tomato, diced

½ red onion, thinly sliced

Optional: olives, fries, or extra feta cheese

Instructions

1. Roast the Garlic

Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

Slice the top off the garlic bulb.

Drizzle with olive oil and wrap in foil.

Roast for 35–40 minutes until soft and golden.

Let cool, then squeeze out the roasted garlic cloves.

2. Make the Feta Sauce

In a blender or bowl, combine:

Roasted garlic

Feta cheese

Greek yogurt

Mayonnaise

Lemon juice

Dill or parsley

Blend or mash until creamy.

Add water or milk a little at a time for a smooth sauce.

Season with black pepper.

3. Cook the Beef

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.

Add beef and cook until browned.

Stir in oregano, paprika, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

Add lemon juice and cook 1–2 more minutes.

4. Assemble the Wraps

Warm the pita breads or tortillas.

Spread roasted garlic feta sauce over each wrap.

Add lettuce, cucumber, tomato, onion, and cooked beef.

Add optional toppings if desired.

Fold tightly and serve warm.
