Cook time: 10–12 minutes
Ingredients
- 1 lb (450 g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons breadcrumbs (optional, for a crisp topping)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
- Juice of ½ lemon
- Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking dish or sheet pan.
- Pat the shrimp dry and arrange them in a single layer.
- In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, olive oil, garlic, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, pepper, and lemon juice.
- Pour the garlic butter mixture over the shrimp and toss gently to coat.
- Sprinkle the Parmesan evenly over the shrimp. If using breadcrumbs, mix them with the Parmesan before sprinkling.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the shrimp are pink and opaque. For a golden crust, broil for an additional 1–2 minutes.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges.
Serving Ideas
- Over buttered pasta or angel hair
- With steamed rice
- Alongside roasted vegetables
- With crusty bread to soak up the garlic butter
- On a fresh Caesar or green salad
Tips
- Avoid overcooking—shrimp become rubbery quickly.
- Freshly grated Parmesan melts and browns better than pre-shredded.
- Add a pinch of red pepper flakes if you like a little heat.
