Firecracker Sausage and Potatoes

If you’re tired of making the same old recipes every Fourth of July, I have something new for you! 🇺🇸🔥

This Firecracker Sausage and Potatoes is loaded with crispy potatoes, smoky sausage, sweet onions, and a buttery firecracker sauce that’s just spicy enough to keep things interesting. Maybe not for 90 year old aunt evelyn….It’s perfect alongside burgers, hot dogs, ribs, barbecue, baked beans, or just about anything coming off the grill.

One of my favorite things about this recipe is how versatile it is. You can make it in the oven, cook it entirely in the slow cooker, or bake it ahead of time and keep it warm in the crockpot if you’re feeding a crowd. I even included instructions for doubling or tripling the recipe, a mild version for guests who don’t like spicy food, and a vegetarian option.

Up here in the Northwoods, the Fourth of July isn’t always blazing hot. Sometimes we’re wearing sweatshirts by the campfire, and this is one of those recipes that’s just as comforting on a cool evening as it is at a sunny backyard cookout.
