Ingredients
3 cups rolled oats
2 cups milk
2 eggs
1/3 cup melted butter or oil
1/2 cup brown sugar or honey
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp cinnamon
Pinch of salt
Optional:
Chopped nuts
Raisins
Banana slices
Chocolate chips
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease a square baking dish.
In a large bowl, mix:
oats
baking powder
cinnamon
salt
In another bowl whisk:
milk
eggs
melted butter
sugar/honey
vanilla
Pour the wet mixture over the oats and stir well.
Let sit for 5–10 minutes so the oats absorb liquid.
Pour into the baking dish and spread evenly.
Bake for 35–45 minutes until golden brown and set in the center.
Cool slightly, slice into squares, and serve.
For the caramelized top like the picture
Before baking, sprinkle:
1–2 tbsp brown sugar
a little cinnamon
small butter pieces on top
It creates that darker crusty surface.
Serve warm plain, or with yogurt, fruit, or syrup.![]()
