Super Moist Chocolate Milk Cake

Ingredients

For the Chocolate Cake

• 2 cups all-purpose flour

• ¾ cup cocoa powder

• 2 cups sugar

• 1 tsp baking powder

• 1½ tsp baking soda

• ½ tsp salt

• 2 large eggs

• 1 cup milk

• ½ cup vegetable oil

• 1 tsp vanilla extract

• 1 cup hot coffee or hot water

For the Milk Filling

• 2 cups milk

• 4 tbsp cornflour

• ½ cup sugar

• 2 tbsp butter

• 1 tsp vanilla extract

For the Chocolate Filling

• 1 cup milk chocolate

• ½ cup heavy cream

For Decoration

• Whipped cream or buttercream

• Chocolate sprinkles or chocolate curls

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 170°C and grease two cake pans.

In a bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.

Pour in the hot coffee or hot water and stir gently. The batter will be thin.

Divide the batter into pans and bake for 30–35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow cakes to cool completely.

For the milk filling, mix cornflour and sugar with a little milk until smooth. Add the remaining milk and cook on low heat while stirring until thick and creamy. Stir in butter and vanilla. Allow to cool.

For the chocolate filling, heat the cream and pour over the chocolate. Let it sit for 1 minute, then stir until smooth and glossy.

Slice the cakes into layers. Fill one section with the milk filling and another with the chocolate filling just like the picture.

Pipe whipped cream around the edges and top with chocolate sprinkles or curls. Chill slightly before serving for clean slices.
