Banana Lemon Ginger Smoothie

Ingredients 

  • ½ lemon rinsed thoroughly, seeds removed
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger peeled, chopped
  • 1 large banana frozen or fresh
  • ¼ teaspoon ground turmeric
  • ¾ cup almond milk or any plant-based milk

Instructions 

  • Combine lemon, ginger, banana, turmeric, and almond milk in a blender. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  • Pour into a glass and enjoy! For a thinner consistency, add more milk.

Notes

  • Store any leftover smoothie in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 1 day. Shake well before drinking.
  • Use frozen banana: For a thicker, creamier smoothie, use frozen banana instead of fresh.
  • Lemon juice option: If you prefer not to use a whole lemon, you can simply use lemon juice instead.
  • Adjust sweetness: If you like a sweeter smoothie, add 1-2 dates or a splash of maple syrup.
  • Blend longer: Use a high-powered blender and blend for an extra 20-30 seconds, especially if using a whole lemon with the peel, to ensure a smooth texture.
