Instructions:
- Mix the Ingredients:
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, egg, Parmesan cheese, garlic, parsley, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- If you’re using optional add-ins like onions or mushrooms, fold them into the mixture.
- Shape the Patties:
- Divide the mixture into 4 to 6 equal portions, depending on your preferred patty size.
- Gently shape each portion into a patty, making them slightly larger than the size of your burger buns as they will shrink a bit while cooking.
- Use your thumb to make a small indentation in the center of each patty to help it cook evenly and maintain its shape.
- Cook the Patties:
- Heat olive oil or butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Once hot, add the patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness (e.g., medium-rare, medium, well-done). Cooking times may vary depending on patty thickness.
- If you’re using a meat thermometer, the internal temperature should be about 160°F (71°C) for medium.
- Serve:
- Remove the patties from the skillet and let them rest for a few minutes.
- Serve on a keto-friendly bun, lettuce wrap, or simply enjoy them with your favorite low-carb toppings.
Tips:
- Seasoning Variations: Feel free to adjust the seasoning to suit your taste. You can add spices like cumin, chili powder, or even some hot sauce for extra kick.
- Make Ahead: You can prepare the patties ahead of time and freeze them. Just place them on a baking sheet to freeze individually, then transfer them to a freezer bag for storage. Cook from frozen, adding a couple of extra minutes to the cooking time.
Enjoy your keto-friendly burgers!
