Air Fryer Chicken Wings
Ingredients:
- 2 pounds chicken wings, separated into flats and drumettes
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional seasonings: garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cayenne pepper
Instructions:
- Prep the Wings: Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. This will help the wings crisp up in the air fryer. Place the wings in a large bowl.
- Season the Wings: Drizzle the olive oil over the wings and toss them to coat evenly. Season the wings with salt, pepper, and any additional seasonings you prefer. Mix well to ensure the wings are evenly seasoned.
- Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
- Cook the Wings: Once the air fryer is preheated, arrange the seasoned wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not overcrowded. Cook in batches if necessary. Cook the wings for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.
- Check for Doneness: The internal temperature of the chicken wings should reach 165°F (75°C) to ensure they are fully cooked.
- Serve: Once the wings are cooked to your desired crispiness, remove them from the air fryer and let them rest for a few minutes before serving. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces.
